2017 has been here for a few days, and since I started back at work things have been so busy! I start a new semester of graduate school this week (eek!) and have been catching up from being out of a routine for almost two weeks. I enjoyed spending the beginning of the new year at home, but am so glad to be back on schedule.
Since the beginning of 2017 the weather has been absurdly wild, with some days being around nine degrees Fahrenheit and some days reaching sixty degrees. Dressing for weather like this can be frustrating, but I'm up for the challenge. I've been dipping into my sweaters more recently and even found some from years back while I was home for the holidays!
I love creating outfits for cold weather because it gives me a good excuse to get cozy. This green sweater from Urban Outfitters is perfect for the current weather, because it's the perfect layer. I also love to use it in the spring over a dress just in case the temp turns a little cold. One of my style goals for the new year is to try to keep my style as a representation of me, and this outfit definitely does.
Style posts are definitely a work in progress for me. A few months ago I released a survey asking what my followers would like to see on Mad's Muses. I'm working toward posting those ideas this year by starting the number one request: style posts. For this post I experimented with photos on my iPhone, but didn't exactly get the results I would have liked - definitely going to work with my DSLR on the next one. If anyone has suggestions on taking your own photos please let me know! I'm so looking forward to posting more of what you guys wanna see. :)
