I've been pretty sucked into the Game of Thrones & Outlander series of novels recently, but that doesn't mean I haven't read other books! I love reading about a variety of topics, from educational policy to science fiction to romance to memoirs. Right now, I'm on a kick to find feminist/social policy/out-of-my-normal-bubble books, and I wanted to share a few of the ones I've read in the past with you.
I love curling up on the couch with a good book, especially now that my Christmas tree is up, making the living room even cozier. My to-read book list is an extravagant thing. I'll probably never get to all of the works that are on said list; it just keeps growing! Right now I keep a short list and my regular list. The regular list is the compilation of all of the books that are on my radar. My short list contains the books that are must reads in the very near future and are the ones I'm sharing today!
As a book lover myself, I love literary themed items. You don't always have to buy a bibliophile an actual book (don't get me wrong, books are always welcome!), but items that revolve around literature never disappoint!
I remember the very first time I was absorbed into a book. I was in the fifth grade when my teacher realized my passionate curiosity & persistence in asking questions. She recommended that I read a book she had on her personal shelf about a girl who was traveling to the New World from England. I took her up on it and my recesses & spare time quickly turned into reading periods. Years later I don’t remember the title of the book or its author, but I do remember that it opened a floodgate of knowledge and sparked the flame that turned into wildfire: my love for a good book.
