Exactly one week from today we embark for Scotland! I haven't been this excited for a trip in a while. The Scottish Highlands have been on my bucket list for quite some time now & I can't believe this adventure is so close! I'm so pumped for this trip that I've been working on my packing list since before we even bought the plane tickets.
With as much as there is to see in Paris, it’s hard to decide on an absolute favorite place (read about my top places here). I loved riding the elevator to the tip-top of the Eiffel Tower, eating macarons on the winding streets of Montmartre, and standing in awe of Notre Dame. The place I looked most forward to, though, was the Louvre.
A few years ago I spent a week in Jamaica lounging on the beach, drinking amaretto sours, and eating unlimited amounts of jerk chicken at an all-inclusive resort that I reviewed here. If you follow my travels you probably know that this isn’t my most frequent type of travel. I don’t like to be cooped up in one place for too long – I have to be in the thick of things, doing something daring.
In a previous post found here, I discussed cruising in the Caribbean. I also mentioned that excursions were my favorite part of cruising. Don’t get me wrong, the unlimited food and folded towel animals were great, but hopping off of the boat and adventuring in a new port every day was definitely the highlight of my time with Norwegian Cruise Line.
As you may already know, I’m somewhat of an adrenaline junky. Visiting Australia, I believe, is what brought this part of my personality to the forefront. I did so many things there that were out of my comfort zone and visiting Airlie Beach was no exception.
