With so many beach trips + lake days already scheduled this summer, I knew I had to be on the lookout for the perfect swimsuits for all of them. While I was browsing, I visited the J. Crew website (of course) and literally added 99% of the suits they have to my shopping cart. I unfortunately couldn't buy all of them because they cost a pretty penny, but I was able to snag a couple favorites.
Happy Friday, y'all! I'm so glad to be back writing on Mad's Muses (more to come about that next week) and I'm even happier that you all are still sticking around to read. During my hiatus I took time to wind down and think and develop new routines. One of our newest pastimes since the weather has been so nice recently is to take evening strolls. It may not sound like much, but it's the perfect wind-down activity. Not to mention, Augusta is a huge fan. ;)
Debuting my natural hair, woohoo! Call me a nineties kid but I'm so pumped that denim skirts are back! These babies were a staple in my wardrobe in middle school and while questionably styled then, they have now become perfect for a casual day at brunch with friends or for going out on the weekends. It's all in the styling. This combination I'd literally wear anywhere.
Happy Monday, everyone! With Mondays come the workweek blues so hopefully shopping this post will make your week start off great! This past weekend we finally had some warm weather and I'm so pumped about it! Yesterday was some of the best weather we've had yet here in KY and we took full advantage of it by taking Augusta to a new dog park and walking around our neighborhood pretty extensively. We love having a walkable area of town to live in and enjoy, and having a chill weekend to be able to take advantage of.
Ah, wedding season. It's upon us. Last year Michael and I attended ten weddings, and while we don't have quite so many this year we're still really excited. The ones we're going to are some of our favorite couples so I can't wait! Michael is in three of these weddings (all of his friends are getting hitched, it seems) and we're getting pretty pumped to see everyone tie the knot.
Spring is almost here! February is normally the last bitter month in Kentucky (although the weather is extremely unpredictable always!) and warmer weather creeps in towards March. With warm weather in the near future I'm looking at ways to spruce up my existing wardrobe to transition into spring.
If you read my post on my objectives for the new year, you know that shopping responsibly & ethically was one of my priorities for 2017. Before officially adding to the list, I started researching brands that were paving the way for ethical shoppers. What I found was outstanding. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find as many pieces as I would like at a price point I could afford. The reality is that there are so many options out there for clothing that we simply jump to the most convenient: what's at the mall, what pops up first on a Google search, where your friends shop. All it took was a little digging and I found some great brands that I can feel good about purchasing from.
